For the first time in Helldivers 2's history, mechs are coming to a Warbond. The Exo Experts, dropping April 28, shatters a precedent that has stood since launch — exosuits have always been earned through galactic war community efforts or included as standing stratagems, never sold as part of a purchasable content pack. That changes now.
Arrowhead Game Studios unveiled the Exo Experts Warbond earlier this week, and the community response has been immediate and enthusiastic. The pack introduces two entirely new exosuit models alongside a fresh arsenal of weapons and armor sets, giving veteran Helldivers plenty of reasons to dive back into the fight for Super Earth.
The headline additions are the two new mech stratagems. The EXO-51 Lumberer pairs an anti-tank cannon with a flamethrower, making it a devastating close-range option against Chargers, Bile Titans, and anything else that gets too close. For players who prefer a more defensive approach, the EXO-55 Breakthrough acts as a mobile fortress, combining a flak cannon for crowd control with a ballistic shield that can absorb incoming fire while your squad advances behind you.

Beyond the mechs, the Warbond introduces two new armor sets featuring the Oxygenator perk and three new weapons. The MGX-42 Bullet Storm is a high-capacity machine gun built for sustained suppressive fire. The SMG-203 Gallant offers a compact alternative for players who value mobility over raw stopping power. And the P-33 Missile Pistol fires guided, heat-propelled rounds that lock onto targets — a sidearm that could genuinely change how players approach their secondary weapon slot.
The Exo Experts Warbond arrives on April 28 across PlayStation 5 and PC. For a game that has built its identity on community-driven content unlocks, putting mechs behind a premium Warbond purchase is a significant shift — and it will be interesting to see whether the community embraces the new direction or pushes back against it.
