Microsoft has officially revealed the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for April 2026, and it's a stacked lineup that spans everything from high-octane shooters to classic JRPGs. The new batch of titles will roll out between now and early May, giving subscribers plenty of reasons to stay glued to their consoles and PCs over the coming weeks.
Day One Highlights
Leading the charge are several day-one releases hitting Game Pass immediately. Kiln, from Double Fine Productions, arrived today (April 23) as a pottery power-fantasy that blends creativity with arena combat — players craft pots and then use them as weapons in online battles. Don't Nod's Aphelion lands on April 28, a sci-fi third-person adventure created in partnership with the European Space Agency, where astronaut Ariane must traverse harsh alien terrain to rescue her injured partner.

Trepang2 and Final Fantasy V
Action FPS fans have Trepang2 to look forward to on April 29. This gory, adrenaline-fueled shooter set in the near future has been a hit on Steam, and its Game Pass debut should introduce it to a much wider audience. Think F.E.A.R. meets modern bullet-time mechanics, and you'll have a good idea of what to expect.
Then on May 5, Final Fantasy V arrives on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the celebrated Pixel Remaster version. It's the first time FFV has been available on Game Pass, and it brings updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements to one of the most mechanically rich entries in the Final Fantasy series. The Job System alone is worth the price of admission — and on Game Pass, that price is already covered.

What Else Is Coming
The wave also includes several other notable additions. Mistfall Hunter and There Are No Ghosts at the Grand are both expected to make their Game Pass debut as part of this rollout, alongside a few more surprises that Microsoft is holding back for now. Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors already dropped on April 21 as a day-one Game Pass title, rounding out what has been an unusually generous month for the subscription service.
April 2026 has been a standout month for Game Pass, with the combined Wave 1 and Wave 2 lineups delivering over 15 new titles across multiple genres. Whether you're into factory building, deep-space adventure, or just want to blast through waves of enemies, there's something in the catalog for everyone.
